dr. brett denkin—psychologist, consultant, and coach—has been guiding entrepreneurs, executives and individuals in creating both the business and life they want for nearly 20 years. Following his graduation from Emory University in Atlanta, GA with a BA in economics and psychology, dr. brett began his career with American International Group and then Hughes, Hubbard & Reed in New York City before attending the California School of Professional Psychology in San Diego. In 1995, dr. brett received his doctorate from CSPP San Diego. The following year, he returned east to complete his residency at Norwalk Hospital in Norwalk, CT and obtain licensure as a psychologist. Soon after, dr. brett began working at NEON Head Start in South Norwalk while teaching psychology courses at Housatonic Community College in Bridgeport, CT. It was also during this period that dr. brett began to develop a successful private psychology practice in Westport, CT.
Combining business and psychology, dr. brett teaches creative and common sense ways to improve communication, create new business, and make life transitions. Solution-oriented, dr. brett identifies critical issues; provides strategies for resolution; helps to improve synergy, increase productivity and profitability.
In group settings, dr. brett acts as a facilitator offering strategies while encouraging individuals to focus their intentions, motivating them to network and share their knowledge as they combine their efforts to achieve cohesiveness. In this scenario, the newly developed “team” defines specific goals and creates pathways for achieving them effectively.
As a public speaker, dr. brett, presents on numerous topics including relationships, intention, integrity, self-expression, self-sabotage, fear of success and failure, self-expression, accountability, decision making, creativity, and other topics that relate to life in the home or workplace.
At present, dr. brett sees clients of all ages from New York to Los Angeles on phone, via skype or in person. dr. brett consults with small businesses and large organizations alike, working with executives, entrepreneurs, individuals and families.
